In a written statement, Thursday, February 10, 2011, Frontier Consulting conducted a survey of 3600 respondents in six major cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan and Makassar. The methodology used in this research is a direct interview using a questionnaire as an instrument of data collection.
Frontier Consulting choosing a brand with three categories, namely mind share or position a brand in the minds of consumers, market share or brand position based on usage by consumers, and the commitment share of brand positioning based on consumer desires to use them again in the future.
In this survey, the Jazz got 46.4 percent and Yaris figure 17.9 percent. The rest of other brands such as Suzuki Karimun Estilo, Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Atoz, each under 10 percent.
In the minibus car segment, Toyota Avanza managed to outperform the Toyota Kijang and the Suzuki APV. Avanza got 28.4 percent, Kijang got 24.1 percent, and APV was 12.5. The remaining respondents chose Daihatsu Xenia, Panter Isuzu, and Nissan Grand Livina.
Meanwhile, Marketing Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor, "Joko Trisanyoto" said the survey results that give a picture of Toyota products and services has won the trust of consumers. "We are compelled to continue working to improve customer satisfaction and comfort," he said.
Lubricants line version of the most famous car brand is a Top1 (27.3 percent), Prima XP (16.4 percent), and Castrol (16.3 percent). The rest of Shell Helix, Fastron, MOTUL, Repsol, Agip, BM-1, and Evalube.
